Firefox Accessibility Extension

The Firefox Accessibility Extension looks good for people who want to test the accessibility of their Web sites and the extension competes against a lot of other extensions and approaches.

You can download the Firefox extension at addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5809.

The extension validates against US508 and WCAG 1.0 requirements plus something for the state of Illinois. Total Validator validates against US508 plus the current WCAG 2 plus some other things and is a better choice if you live outside Illinois.

Firefox Accessibility Extension validates in the browser and works with every release and version except, apparently, the Mac version.

Conclusion

There are no screen shots provided and nothing in the minimal description to suggest the extension has anything special outside Illinois. The validation against WCAG 1 instead of WCAG 2 is the main reason for not using it.
