Jerry Yudelson, PE, MS, MBA, LEED AP, lives in the Sonoran Desert and knows a lot about water conservation. Dry Run is his latest book and covers building sustainable water supplies for cities. Well worth a read if you live anywhere outside of rain drenched tropical areas.
Many of the examples are from dry parts of America plus there are examples from Australia, Africa, Europe, and other places. There are four case studies, three from America and one from Australia. There are a lot of examples for schools, public buildings, commercial buildings and some for houses. Some of the residential examples are for new estates where all the buildings can share a new approach.
The data is up to date and includes the recent big once every hundred year drought in Australia.
